Mobile Point of Sale

The Booksolve mobile point of sale (MPoS) is a full point of sale device, with built-in credit card integration as standard. It supports contactless, chip and pin and card swipe payments, all with printed signature receipts.

What is a mobile point of sale device?

A mobile point of sale is a wireless device that does many of the same functions that a till or PoS terminal can do. Generally, they are easier to set up than a traditional PoS and can perform multiple actions, including reading credit cards and storing transaction data.

Their size and wireless connectivity make them very popular, especially for external events that happen off-site.

With its bright colour display and long-lasting battery, the MPoS is made for “queue busting” during extra busy times in store but also external events, such as book fairs, that happen away from your shop or premises. It operates over WiFi or 3G/4G SIM card for remote locations.

Each device is allocated to a specific till number in the BPoS Store Controller. All transactions appear in Store Controller in the same way as any other till and sales are updated in Booksolve with all the standard details and product updates.

A menu of 'speed items' can be created for common products (e.g. for a signing session) or products that are too small to be barcoded. Any barcode can be scanned and the basic device can hold in excess of 150,000 product records.

The simple-to-use web interface can maintain and store users, user rights, discounts and receipt messages.
